Successful embarkment of the Fafnir surface level measurement on the Czech market
This year's success of QUITEC's measuring and information technologies as core for the prospective future
Quitec, spol. s r.o., Czech traditional supplier of measuring and information systems for refilling stations, tank-trucks and tanks alone, balances and evaluates yet another year. In 2006, the Quitec enterprise has enriched its offer by a number of innovative solutions and by new products for refilling station technologies. Let's find out, together with the director of the enterprise, Mr. Martin Pavlík, about the score of the last year 2006 and uncover the plans for the coming year.
Quitec enterprise has been launching a number of innovative systems and new technologies every year. Which one would you rank as the most important?
Quitec enterprise is focussing also on information systems for refilling stations. I know that you have quite a few years experience in this field and I believe that the progress has not stoppled here either...
Yes, we keep on developping cash management systems (points of sale) further. This year we launched new cashier system that is much more user friendly. Its main asset is a touch screen supporting the instant use of the cash system by attendants as well as by ordinary persons. The full integration of all available payment terminals is a matter of fact. Our cashier system has always been built in such a way that it comprises both public street refilling station and private on-site station with local open accounts. Our customers always get only the one, and the only slightly modified system. Our convenience is that we are maintaining and developing only one key product. If, eventually, a fault occurs, it can be easily fixed for all our cashier systems. This is also important for our customers as our technical assistants know the system very well and therefore they are always able to provide maintenance, supervisory servicing and assistatnce for all our customer installations, that is for all, both public and private, refilling stations.
What about operators and inverstors in the refilling stations operated by your systems, do your clients also think that you have to meet all their wishes at any price?
Well, clients do always have many requirements and wishes at the beginning of our cooperation. They expect us to comply 100% with their needs, however, they usually compromise after we analyze the situation together and prepare a solution. Usually, the final solution is not too much beside the standard product package and therefore we do not find it too difficult to stand to their needs. Moreover, I would even dare to say, on the basis of the feedback of our customers, that we are more flexible in meeting the customers' requirements than our competitors.
What about the development and expansion of the Quitec enterprise?
This is a very broad question. However, I have already mentionned the partnership with German FAFNIR, suplier of the surface level measurement devices. This partnership perfectly integrated our product portfolio, as the surface level measurement tool was a component that we have always wanted to offer as well. Therefore, I consider this recently established partnership as a big step forward. I would say the same about the change of direction in terms of the export, as we have met with markets and new prominent business partners abroad. Unfortunately, the Czech market is small and exhausted and therefore we have to move forward.
In what sense?
Well, we have to move from the local market abroad. The directions are multiple, it is Western Europe, Ukraine, Russia, West Balkans and Turkey. Our portfolio does not only comprise cashier systems and point of sales, but it is also electronics for all kinds of dispensers, outdoor payment terminals (OPTs), surface level measurement devices and electronics for tank-trucks. However, our export consists mainly of less complex products that do not need localisation and local assistance.
Last but not least, what about new plans for the near future?
Well, our recent product FAFNIR for surface levels measurement looks really promissing. We feel that it has a great potential and we will concentrate our efforts in that direction. We are developing new technologies in the field of the outdoor payment terminals (OPTs) at the on-site refilling stations. And with a bit of exaggeration, I would say that next year Quitec enterprise will be bigger, smarter, superior in quality and less expensive.
